Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business line leadership and proposal coordinators to understand Government procurement objectives and requirements and positioning Company solutions against them.
  • Write content and coordinate graphics for a completed proposal that accurately reflects the government procurement objectives.
  • Lead strategy sessions with key stakeholders to clarify positioning approach and products / services being proposed.
  • Manage the RFP as a project - including setting and maintaining a timeline for successful completion of proposal.
  • Interview and gather information to customize responses with input from the RFP knowledge base and / or content experts.
  • Perform copy editing and proofreading of all proposal content in order to rapidly produce clear and accurate documents.
  • Solid understanding of Governmental procurement management process.
  • Ability to help experts within the business to articulate their messages succinctly and effectively.
  • Capacity to translate complex technical solutions, strategies, and themes into easily understandable, readable, and compelling proposal answers.
  • Encourage proactive behavior from knowledge experts to avoid unnecessary delays.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in proposal writing for a larger organization.
  • Experience in responding to Government requests for proposals; communications or marketing backgrounds will also be considered.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and formatting skills.
  • Proven ability to engage with numerous knowledge experts within the organization to obtain necessary information to complete proposals.
  • Strong personal time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team as required.
  • Excellent people networking skills.
  • Initiative to resolve issues.
  • Strong oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure; able to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated competence with entire Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of business, sales process/cycle, and associated roles.
