The competition for the Army ADMC-3 contract will soon start. On March 10, the contracting office announced that the RFP will be released on or after March 29. The word is that the solicitation will really see the light of day soon after that date.

Army programs subject matter expert (SME) Kevin Carroll provided the following insight into the ADMC-3 program:

1. The primary thing needed to win is price. The decision will be 80% based on pricing. However, bidders need to also have a well demonstrated management capability and good past performance.
2. There will likely be about 35 bidders.
3. Doing a PTW analysis on pricing is “critical”.
4. Bidders should make sure they are aggressive in offering advanced products needed by the Army that are not currently on the contract.
